There's also subcategories, like Any% which allows pretty much all exploitation, and Glitchless, which is more based on how well you use EU4's intended mechanics. IGT is somewhat more suited to EU4's gameplay, and is based off how long your run was in-game (e.g. Since speedrunning in general is largely based on real time, RTA is a necessary category and quite a fun one, since you can't pause for 17 hours and micro, and you instead have to make decisions on the fly.
